Fresh ImageJ installation on the Mac:

Go to:
https://imagej.net/ij/download.html

For old Intel-Macs, "download ImageJ bundled with Java 8"
For new M1-M2-M3 Macs, "download  ImageJ bundled with Zulu OpenJDK 13.0.6."
You may move downloaded ImageJ.app to the Applications folder

Doube-click ImageJ.app: reaction:
	ImageJ.app Not Opened
	buttons:  [Done] [Move to Bin]
Click [Done]

Go to menu Apple:
System Settings ->  Privacy & Security

scroll down to Security. showing:
	"ImageJ.app" was blocked to protect your Mac  
click	"Open Anyway"
you are asked for your password

ImageJ will now and in future open correctly.

In ImageJ, choose Help> Update ImageJ
because installation provides not newest version
